2019 12 02

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation in the South of France with my son and his family. Torre

Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me.And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, 'The Lord has need of them,' and immediately he will send them." Mt 21:1-3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me yield up whatever Jesus asks of me.

"Tell the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your King is coming to you, lowly, and sitting on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.' " Mt 21:5 (NKJV)
Jesus, come into our lives more today.

Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' Hosanna in the highest!" Mt 21:9 (NKJV)
Hosanna to you, Jesus; you are my Lord.

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied. 1Pe 1:1-2 (NKJV)
Father, please help me daily be a pilgrim and answer your call.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1Pe 1:3 (NKJV)
Father, I bless you. Thank you for the living hope you have given me in Jesus through your Holy Spirit.

I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth -- praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the LORD. Ps 40:1-3 (NKJV)
Thank you, LORD, for pulling me out of the miry clay of sin and have given me songs to sing and established my steps.

I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly. Ps 40:10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me declare your righteousness to others.

A Word Received: Rejoice in my presence in your life.

Prayer Table and Jail Report, November 25, St. Ann's Amsterdam
DEACON ALAN and DEACON MARYCAROL -- Reporting in to you prayer warriors concerning the neighborhood ministries of Prayer Table in our Parish Hall and the Services From the Reserved Sacrament at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility that occurred Monday -- November 25. We appreciate all your intercessory prayers and support for these weekly ministries. We couldn't do it without your help.
Prayer Table -- Seven women and two men came by on this cold, blustery morning as we set up indoors. Just one person wanted prayer and anointing. EBONY asked for prayers for a serious situation. The Lord knows the details. She has come for prayer before and she indicated she is frustrated that God has not answered her yet and she fears He is not listening. But we assured her that prayers are always heard but not always answered right away or in the way we hope they are. We gave out a lot of free clean, used clothing and quite a bit of free, non-perishable food we had in storage.
MCCF -- We had 11 men attend the three men's services but for the first time ever, no women chose to come. We were told that there are only seven females incarcerated there at present. One man was taken by the words in The Collect which said God will bring together "peoples of the Earth who are divided and enslaved by sin." He said ruefully, "I have had a hard time in my life trying to stay on the right course in the world outside. I will go along well for awhile, doing good things and living the right way, but then I slide back into doing criminal things and committing sins. Then I have to start all over again." We assured this man that he is not alone on this one, and we prayed for him to be strong and keep trying to follow Christ's example. We also talked about the last line of Luke's gospel where Jesus comforts the thief who believes in Him and wants to be remembered when He comes into His kingdom, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise." This is proof that is NEVER too late to come to Christ for forgiveness and mercy. There's no such thing as it is "too late" to come to Christ and accept Him as your savior.
Please pray for these inmates and their loved ones: Carol and Andy, Jeff and Bob, Bob and Laino, Robert and Jackie, Derek, Mykenzie and Penelope, Israel, Seth, Brittany, Marilyn, Isabelle and James, Jeff, Neville and Ariana, Berrios and Sarai, Cathlene and Joshua.
God bless you all and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
