2020 01 16

I have a sore throat and cold.

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink." For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jn 4:7-9
Holy Spirit, please help us come to the well of living water, Jesus.

Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." Jn 4:10
Jesus, I ask for our living water.

Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." Jn 4:13-14
     Sprint up, O Well!

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, Heb 6:18-19
Jesus, you are the anchor for my soul.

Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Ge 11:7-8
Father, our speech is confused and when we talk with one another in the church, we cannot be understood. Have mercy on your church in its present confusion.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way. Ps 37:23
     LORD, please order my steps.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholds him with His hand. Ps 37:24
LORD, hold me up by your hand.

But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him. Ps 37:39-40
Jesus, you are my help and my savior.

A Word Received: It is my church; it does not belong to men. Repent and turn to me for my direction.

Prayer Table/MCCF Report, St. Ann's Amsterdam, Jan. 13,2020
DEACON ALAN and DEACON MARYCAROL -- Reporting in on the weekly Monday neighborhood ministries of Prayer Table in our Parish Hall and Services From the Reserved Sacrament at Montgomery County Correctional Facility yesterday (Jan. 13.) Both were successful in numbers and attentiveness.
Prayer Table -- Six women and three men came by for the free food and clothing we always offer, and three persons requested anointing with Holy Oil and prayer. OMAYA and EBONY both sought prayer for health issues. The Lord knows the details. One man (DEL) who came in just as we were closing down is seeking continued healing from a broken right foot he sustained while snowmobiling five weeks ago outside the Great Sacandaga Lake. He was a first-time visitor who heard about us from other previous guests.
MCCF -- This week we had seven men and three women attend. The services were holy and respectful, but to be honest it was a little quieter and more somber than usual. The inmates were attentive and took part, but offered little in the way of opinions and questions about the readings. This is not usually the way they react. But … every visit is different.
Please pray for all the inmates there, including ones who have not seen their way to attend as yet. We neglected to bring a Prayer List sheet and pen so we are not able to give you individual names. Sorry.
     God bless you all!
