2020 02 12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." John 8:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me walk by your light.

Then they said to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also." John 8:19 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me know Jesus and his Father better.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1 (NKJV)
Father, I surrender my life to you once again.

I am no longer my own, but thine. Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt; put me to doing, put me to suffering; let me be employed for thee or laid aside for thee, exalted for thee or brought low for thee; let me be full, let me be empty; let me have all things, let me have nothing; I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it. And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.
From the Watch Night Service by John Wesley.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
     Holy Spirit, renew my mind.

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:4-8 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me use my gifts for building up your Father’s kingdom.

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; Romans 12:10 (NKJV)
Thank you, Jesus, for the love I experience in your body and from you.

rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; Romans 12:12 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me to be steadfast in prayer.

"Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you! O Israel, if you will listen to Me! There shall be no foreign god among you; nor shall you worship any foreign god. Psalm 81:8-9 (NKJV)
LORD, the Episcopal Church has worshipped the gods of popular culture; have mercy on us and bring us back to you.

A Word Received: Let no one deceive you: I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life. There is no other name under heaven by which people can be saved.
