Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel." Mark 1:14-15 (NKJV)
Father, we pray for such preaching throughout this diocese.

And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then Jesus said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men." Mark 1:16-17 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me answer your call without delay on my part.

They immediately left their nets and followed Him. Mark 1:18 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me immediately leave my nets behind to follow Jesus.

Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, "Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are--the Holy One of God!" But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. Mark 1:23-26 (NKJV)
Jesus, please destroy the works of the evil one among us.

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 1 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV)
Jesus, please set at liberty all those who are ensnared by the wisdom of the world.

but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1 Corinthians 1:23-24 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us hear Christ crucified and risen from the dead in the preaching of this diocese. Bring us to such wisdom.

Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. Psalm 25:4-5 (NKJV)
LORD, lead me and teach me, for you are my strength and hope.

A Word Received: Come to me; let me guide you through the troubles of this time.
Jesus, please help me follow where you lead. Thank you.
