From lightning and tempest; from earthquake, fire, and flood; from plague, pestilence, and famine; from battle and murder, and from sudden death, (From the Litany)
     Good Lord, deliver us.
Great plagues remain for the ungodly; * but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD, mercy embraceth him on every side. Psalm 32:11
Lord, we put out trust in you.
And I truly am set in the plague, * and my heaviness is ever in my sight. Psalm 38:17
     Lord, lighten our burden.
Take thy plague away from me: * I am even con-sumed by the means of thy heavy hand. Psalm 39:11
     Lord, spare your people.
Comfort us again now after the time that thou hast plagued us; * and for the years wherein we have suffered adversity. Psalm 90:15
Lord, comfort those who are afflicted.
There shall no evil happen unto thee, * neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. Psalm 90:10
     Lord, protect our homes
Thus they provoked him to anger with their own inventions; * and the plague was great among them. Psalm 106:29
Lord, we have sinned and provoked you; have mercy on us.
Then stood up Phinehas, and interposed; * and so the plague ceased. Psalm 106:30
Lord, raise up those who can stop this plague.
Foolish men are plagued for their offence, * and because of their wickedness. Psalm 107:17
Lord, forgive our folly and set us back on your path.
And again, when they are minished and brought low * through oppression, through any plague or trouble; Psalm 107:39
Lord, your people are being brought low by this plague; have mercy on us.
