But Jesus said, "Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me. Mark 14:6 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us honor those who do good deeds for Jesus.

For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always. Mark 14:7 (NKJV)
Father, please help us see the poor among us.

She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial. Mark 14:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, I am thankful for all those who minister to you.

Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her." Mark 14:9 (NKJV)
Father, help us recall this woman who anointed Jesus. Help us remember all those women who give their lives in service to Jesus. Bless the Sisters of St. Mary with vocations.

And He sent out two of His disciples and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?" ' Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; there make ready for us." Mark 14:13-15 (NKJV)
Jesus, Lamb of God, help us celebrate our Passover, your death for us and your resurrection.

Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. 1 Corinthians 10:14 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us flee from the idolatry of the surrounding culture.

I speak as to wise men; judge for yourselves what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 1 Corinthians 10:15-16 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for giving of yourself to us.

For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. 1 Corinthians 10:17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, bring new life to the Body of Christ. “Renew in our day the wonders of your Pentecost.” (John XXIII)

When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." Psalm 126:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, please bring your church back from captivity to the culture so that we may rejoice again. Thank you.

A word received: Come to me for comfort in your affliction.
