Then Jesus said to them, "A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them. John 12:35-36 (NKJV)
Jesus, darkness in overwhelming your church. Help us walk by your light.

After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus. John 19:38 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, raise up more who will act instead of giving way to fear.

And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. John 19:39 (NKJV)
Thank you that Nicodemus found the freedom to come by day. Help us find that same freedom. Jesus, I want to walk as a child of the light.

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1 Peter 1:13 (NKJV)
Father, please help me be steady in what I think about.

Remember my affliction and roaming, The wormwood and the gall. My soul still remembers And sinks within me. This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Lamentations 3:19-21 (NKJV)
Jesus, your affliction gives me hope. Thank you.

Through the LORD'S mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!" Lamentations 3:22-24 (NKJV)
LORD, you are my strength and my hope.

The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:25-26 (NKJV)
Jesus, I wait in hope for what you will do.

Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Psalm 105:1 (NKJV)
Jesus, I thank you and ask you to help me make your deeds known to others.

A word received: Wait on me; keep your eyes fixed on me. I Am your hope and your strength.
