One law shall be for the native-born and for the stranger who dwells among you." Exodus 12:49 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us show the love of Jesus to those who are immigrants among us.

So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, 'What is this?' that you shall say to him, 'By strength of hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exodus 13:14 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us tell our children how you have helped us and brought us out of bondage.

And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. Exodus 13:21 (NKJV)
Father, lead me day by day and by night by your Holy Spirit.

And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. Exodus 14:13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us know when it is time to cast all our cares on Jesus and wait on his saving work.

Then the detachment of troops and the captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him. John 18:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, even now they seek to bind you and your words with political correctness. Raise your church to new life with the power of your Holy Spirit.

And they led Him away to Annas first, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas who was high priest that year. Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Jews that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. John 18:13-14 (NKJV)
Lord, protect Bishop Bill from the false witnesses who would stop him and this diocese from being obedient to your word.

And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and went with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest. But Peter stood at the door outside. Then the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought Peter in. John 18:15-16 (NKJV)
Jesus, so many, like Peter, follow you at a distance, fearful of what others will say. Empower them with your Holy Spirit to be witnesses to your death and resurrection.

Lord, come with your healing balm to our land.

A Word Received: Come to me; place your trust in me and not in man. I have shown you what is true; abide in that truth.
