But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Matthew 3:7 (NKJV)
Lord, have mercy on your little ones and spare them from the wrath to come.

Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, Matthew 3:8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, teach us how to bear such fruit.

and do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. Matthew 3:9 (NKJV)
Father, we turn to you and hope and expectation.

And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Matthew 3:10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us accept the ax that is laid at fruitless trees.

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Matthew 3:11 (NKJV)
Jesus, baptize us with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." Matthew 3:12 (NKJV)
Father, help us let go of the chaff in our lives.

We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, Colossians 1:3 (NKJV)
Jesus, let the hope and love that is in us bring forth good fruit for the kingdom of God.

since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints; 5 because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, 6 which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth; Colossians 1:4-6 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, fill us with the knowledge of the Father’s will so that we can walk worthy of our calling.

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; Colossians 1:9-10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, fill us with the knowledge of the Father’s will so that we can walk worthy of our calling.

'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself. Exodus 19:4 (NKJV)
Father, bear us up on eagles’ wings and bring us to you.

I love the LORD, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. 2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, thank you for bearing me up when I cry out to you.

A Word Received: Be ready to answer my call to you.
