1 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us come to Jesus as disciples.

2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Jesus, please continue to teach us.

3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Father, help me know my poverty of spirit before you.

4 Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Lord, comfort me in the lonely times.

5 Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Jesus, I surrender my future to you.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Father, I hunger for your righteousness to be manifest among your people.

7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me show mercy to others.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, cleanse my heart and mind.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me to be a man of peace.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me recognize and have compassion on those who are persecuted by poverty and illness and come to their aid.

11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5 (NKJV)
Father, help me accept your blessings even when they hurt.

A Word Received: Look to me for light for your path, then you won't stumble. Remember that when you do stumble, you need only cry out to me for help. I will be there beside you.
