2020 05 30 Eve of Pentecost

As a preparation for the Day of Pentecost, enter into a season of worship. Let the words of these hymns sink into your souls.

18 While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live." Matthew 9:18 (NKJV)
Jesus, I worship you and must tell you that much of your daughter, the Church, has died. But come and place your hand on us and anoint us with your Holy Spirit and we shall live.

20 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. 21 For she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." 22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour. Matthew 9:20-22 (NKJV)
Lord Jesus, we reach out to you in hope and pray that our faith will bring us to healing.

4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4-5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, build us up into a spiritual house. Bless the women who are summer interns with the Sisters of St. Mary. Bless and protect Bishop Bill as he faces trial for his faith in you and your word.

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)
Lord, you have chosen this generation to bear witness to you. Make us a holy nation for your praise.

27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters. Exodus 15:27 (NKJV)
Father, bring us to a time of Elim springs where we may find refreshing waters in your Spirit.

1 Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. 2 Praise the LORD with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. 3 Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy. 4 For the word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth. Psalm 33:1-4 (NKJV)
LORD, your word is truth; you are the truth. Help us rejoice in you.

A Word Received: I rejoice in yu as you come into my presence and praise and worship me. Do not let the evil on snatch away what I am giving you. Pray that you will discover your vocation in me.
