2020 02 04

28 When He had said this, He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. 29 And it came to pass, when He came near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, 30 saying, "Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. 31 And if anyone asks you, 'Why are you loosing it?' thus you shall say to him, 'Because the Lord has need of it.' " Luke 19:28-31 (NKJV)
Jesus, send us on ahead to prepare the way for you. Send us your Holy Spirit to do this.

37 Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, 38 saying: "'Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!' Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Luke 19:37-38 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us rejoice and praise Jesus as he comes into our lives.

9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
9 "The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the LORD of hosts has sent Me to you. Zechariah 4:9 (NKJV)

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10 (NKJV)
Father, help us daily find our strength in Jesus and his Holy Sppirit

1 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Isaiah 55:1 (NKJV)
LORD, I thirst for more of you in my life.
A Word Received: Pray for my people to come to me, the fountain of living waters.

12 For God is my King from of old, Working salvation in the midst of the earth. Psalm 74:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are my King and Savior.

22 Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily. 23 Do not forget the voice of Your enemies; The tumult of those who rise up against You increases continually. Psalm 74:22-23 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, let your cleansing fire revive your church and your people.

A Word Received: Draw nearer to me; lay your burdens at my feet. I can carry what you cannnot.

Pray for Bishop Bill and this diocese that we will all draw nearer to Jesus in this time of trial.
