2020 06 02

11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. Luke 17 (NKJV)
Lord, so many stand afar off thinking there is no hope for them - that they are condemned to isolation of body and spirit.

13 And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" Luke 17 (NKJV)
Jesus, hear the cries of those who lift their voices pleading for healing and mercy.

14 So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. Luke 17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us remember to return to Jesus and give him thanks for what he has done.

17 So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?" 19 And He said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well." Luke 17 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for inviting me into your kingdom life.

4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, 5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; 6 by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, 7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 2 Corinthians 6:4-7 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us remember those who labor for the gospel in pain and suffering. Help us remembe the suffering church.

25 In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes. Judges 21:25 (NKJV)
Jesus, so few acknowledge you as King and Savior and do what is right in their own sight.

1 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! 2 For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. 3 He will subdue the peoples under us, And the nations under our feet. Psalm 47:1-3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, subdue our unruly affections.

7 For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding. Psalm 47:7 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us praise you with understanding.

21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, "How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people answered him not a word. 1 Kings 18:21 (NKJV)
A Word Received: Make the choice: have me as Lord and Savior, or not at all. Do not falter between two opinions.

Note from Torre: I fear that we are going to pay a terrible price in shutting down our churches and fellowships at the government's order. We accepted being "non-essential" and God is not mocked.
