2020 06 10

39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us." 40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." Luke 23:39-41 (NKJV)
Jesus, I too am a prisoner condemned on plea: I can only plead guilty and ask for mercy and forgiveness.

42 Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." Luke 23:42 (NKJV)
Jesus, remember me and lead me into your kingdom.

43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." Luke 23:43 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, let Jesus' words of comfort sink into my soul.

44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. Luke 23:44-45 (NKJV)
Father, this is a time of great spiritual darkness; rip open the veil so that we can come into your presence.

46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit.' " Having said this, He breathed His last. Luke 23:46 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me die trusting in the Father's mercy.

17 Then she spoke to him with words like these, saying, "The Hebrew servant whom you brought to us came in to me to mock me; 18 so it happened, as I lifted my voice and cried out, that he left his garment with me and fled outside." 19 So it was, when his master heard the words which his wife spoke to him, saying, "Your servant did to me after this manner," that his anger was aroused. 20 Then Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison. Genesis 39:17-20 (NKJV)
Lord, I pray for those prisoners who are wrongly accused and condemned. Have mercy on them.

37 So the advice was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of all his servants. 38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?" 39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you." 41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt." Genesis 41:37-41 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please give our President and Governors this same wisdom you gave Pharaoh to appoint wise and godly men and women to rule over us.

18 Then his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, "Behold, we are your servants." 19 Joseph said to them, "Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Genesis 50:18-20 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give us a spirit of forbearance to recognize the good you are doing even in the hard times.

A Word Received: Pray for those who turn their back to me and go their own way. Know that I go out seeking the lost. I found you; rejoice when I find others.
