2020 06 27

39 Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. 40 When He came to the place, He said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation." Luke 22:39-40 (NKJV)
Help us, Jesus, exercise discipline over what we watch on TV and social media. Temptation is everywhere there.

41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed, 42 saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." Luke 22:41-42 (NKJV)
"Father, not my will, but yours be done."

43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22:43-44 (NKJV)
Father, please help us go through the hard times trusting in you.

45 When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. 46 Then He said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation." Luke 22:45-46 (NKJV)
Lord, your church has been asleep while the enemy approashes.

47 And while He was still speaking, behold, a multitude; and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them and drew near to Jesus to kiss Him. 48 But Jesus said to him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?" Luke 22:47-48 (NKJV)
Jesus, we have had a Presiding Bishop come with words of peace and love and then stab us in the back. Have mercy on us and protect us.

49 When those around Him saw what was going to happen, they said to Him, "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?" 50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 But Jesus answered and said, "Permit even this." And He touched his ear and healed him. Luke 22:49-51 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us accept what Jesus asks of us.

33 'Then the LORD said to him, "Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground. Acts 7:33 (NKJV)
Help us respond to your holiness, LORD.

34 I have surely seen the oppression of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their groaning and have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you to Egypt." ' Acts 7:34 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us go into the places of bondage to help set your people free.

15 Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear the day before Saul came, saying, 1 Samuel 9:15 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, speak clearly in our ear so that we may do your will.
