Records from The St. Paul Church Choir-Los Angeles. These are records that I grew up with.

1Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate. 2 And they began to accuse Him, saying, "We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King." Luke 23:1-2 (NKJV)
Father, there is another king, and his name is Jesus.

3 Then Pilate asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered him and said, "It is as you say." Luke 23:3 (NKJV)
Jesus, be king of my heart as well.

4 So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, "I find no fault in this Man." Luke 23:4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give our judges your wisdom and the courage to act on it.

5 But they were the more fierce, saying, "He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place." 6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked if the Man were a Galilean. 7 And as soon as he knew that He belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time. 8 Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. 9 Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing. Luke 23:5-9 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us to be faithful to you even when the crowds dismiss you and your teaching.

10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him. 11 Then Herod, with his men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. Luke 23:10-11 (NKJV)
Lord, so many treat you with contempt.

14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, 15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:14-17 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us also to be filled with your Holy Spirit.

19 And all the people said to Samuel, "Pray for your servants to the LORD your God, that we may not die; for we have added to all our sins the evil of asking a king for ourselves." 20 Then Samuel said to the people, "Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness; yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart. 21 And do not turn aside; for then you would go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing. 22 For the LORD will not forsake His people, for His great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you His people. 23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. 1 Samuel 12:19-23 (NKJV)
Far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you

A Word Received: Look to me with hope and expectation in the storm.

St. Ann's Amsterdam
DEACON ALAN and DEACON MARYCAROL -- Last week we re-opened our church Prayer Table on the front lawn for the first time since April 6, and we had very little foot traffic, the occasional car driving past us -- but no one came for the prayer, free food and free clothing we offer that day. We are happy to report that FIVE people stopped by today (June 29th), so maybe the word is getting out that our Monday morning Prayer Table is back in operation. (Don Clifford also put the information of free prayer, food and clothing on our message board on the corner.)
The first person was JOAN, who took a bag of food and an apple and potato. She said she was "good" and didn't want prayer, but we prayed for her anyway. FRANK came by in a car asking for directions because he is not from Amsterdam and was lost. We prayed together that God will put an end to the pandemic as well as the violence and lack of understanding that is going on in the country today. JULIO and his mother MARIA took food and clothing, and we prayed for both of them to be safe from illness and danger and that they would know that God is watching over them. RAY came to the table right when we were closing up and we chatted a good 20 minutes and we prayed for healing for him. This week he is having surgery on his ailing left hip and also dental work because he has lost three teeth.
We had extra apples and potatoes that were not taken, so we left them on the portals of the front fence so people who can use them will take them.
We still have not returned to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility for our Monday night services, but we hope to resume that ministry in the early Fall.
