2020 08 18

27 Then they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him. 28 And they said to Him, "By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?" Mark 11:27-28 (NKJV)
Jesus, let the leaders of the Episcopal Church accept your authority rather than questioning it.

29 But Jesus answered and said to them, "I also will ask you one question; then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things: 30 The baptism of John--was it from heaven or from men? Answer Me." 31 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' He will say, 'Why then did you not believe him?' 32 But if we say, 'From men' "--they feared the people, for all counted John to have been a prophet indeed. 33 So they answered and said to Jesus, "We do not know." And Jesus answered and said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things." Mark 11:29-33 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help the church leaders acknowledge the works of God in our day.

1 "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side," Let Israel now say-- 2 "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, When men rose up against us, 3 Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us; Psalm 124:1-3 (NKJV)
Father, unless you protect us, we shall be swallowed up by those who hate your word.

1 Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. Psalm 125:1 (NKJV)
LORD, we put our trust in you.

1 When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. 2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." 3 The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad. Psalm 126:1-3 (NKJV)
LORD, bring us out of captivity so that we may rejoice in you.

1 Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep. Psalm 127:1-2 (NKJV)
     Jesus, rebuild your church.

3 Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table. 4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the LORD. 5 The LORD bless you out of Zion, And may you see the good of Jerusalem All the days of your life. 6 Yes, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel! Psalm 128:3-6 (NKJV)
Thank you, Lord, for filling my quiver with children.

A Word Received: Turn to me in expectation for what I will do.
