2020 08 27

22 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them and said, "Take, eat; this is My body." 23 Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. 24 And He said to them, "This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many. Mark 14:22-24 (NKJV)
     Jesus, help us receive your body and blood and the new life you offer us.

26 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. Mark 14:26 (NKJV)
     Holy Spirit, help us sing the songs of Zion.

34 Therefore I urge you to take nourishment, for this is for your survival, since not a hair will fall from the head of any of you." 35 And when he had said these things, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all; and when he had broken it he began to eat. 36 Then they were all encouraged, and also took food themselves. Acts 27:34-36 (NKJV)
     Father, please help us encourage those who are frightened by the present storm.

9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?" 1 Kings 3:9 (NKJV)
     Holy Spirit, please give whoever is elected President an understanding heart to judge your people.

28 For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. Psalm 18:28 (NKJV)
     LORD, let your light shine forth in the dark places of our lives.

29 For by You I can run against a troop, By my God I can leap over a wall. Psalm 18:29 (NKJV)
     Jesus, pleaase help us leap over the walls that divide us.

36 You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip. Psalm 18:36 (NKJV)
     Jesus, enlarge my path so that I do not slip.

A Word Received: Look to me for light in the darkness.
