21 Then they compelled a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, as he was coming out of the country and passing by, to bear His cross. Mark 15:21 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us bear whatever cross we are called to carry.

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. James 3:13 (NKJV)
Lord, there is little meekness of wisdom in our day.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. James 3:17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, lead the people and leaders of the nation into such wisdom.

18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:18 (NKJV)
Father, let the fruit of righteousness grow and flourish in us.

4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us choose our friendships wisely.

25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. Psalm 37:25 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for your faithfulness.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble. 40 And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him. Psalm 37:39-40 (NKJV)
LORD, you are my salvation and my strength. I trust in you to deliver me from evil.
