22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire. Matthew 5:22 (NKJV)
Jesus, as I look at the current political discourse on all sides I realize that we are a nation in danger of hell fire.

23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Matthew 5:23-24 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us rush to forgive those who have offended us.

9 For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! 1 Corinthians 4:9-10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me be a fool for Christ.

20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20 (NKJV)
Father, help me enter into the power of your kingdom.

13 And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, "My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, 'Wash, and be clean'?" 14 So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. 2 Kings 5:13-14 (NKJV)
Lord, don't let me overlook doing the small things you ask of me.

1 I cried out to God with my voice-- To God with my voice; And He gave ear to me. 2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted. 3 I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Psalm 77:1-3 (NKJV)
Thank you, LORD, for coming to me when I was grieved.

A Word Received: Look to me to come to you in your hour of need.
