1 "Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. Matthew 7 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us discern the truth rather than enter into judgment.
3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Matthew 7 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us in this politically poisoned election to refrain from entering into judgment of others.
5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. Matthew 7 (NKJV)
Jesus, it is hypocrisy to enter into judgment of others. Help us repent of this.
6 Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. Matthew 7 (NKJV)
Jesus, show us how to deal with the hostility that surrounds us.
7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7 (NKJV)
Father, I ask, I knock, I seek for more of you in my life.
1 Hezekiah became king when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Abijah the daughter of Zechariah. 2 And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father David had done. 2 Chronicles 29:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, raise up a godly ruler over us.
6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. 7 For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: Psalm 95:6-7 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for gathering me into your sheepfold.
A Word Received: Look to me for help in times of distress. Cry out to me and I will hear you.
