1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1 (NKJV)
During the political campaign there is much sounding brass and clanging cymbals with little love. Jesus, help us through this time of discord.

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NKJV)
Father, help us endure through this time of little love.

23 And it happened, when Jehudi had read three or four columns, that the king cut it with the scribe's knife and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the scroll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth. 24 Yet they were not afraid, nor did they tear their garments, the king nor any of his servants who heard all these words. Jeremiah 36:23-24 (NKJV)
LORD, our leaders and rulers hold your word in such contempt; have mercy on us.

2 How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? 3 But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him. Psalm 4:2-3 (NKJV)
Jesus, hear us when we cry out to you.

4 Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. 5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD. Psalm 4:4-5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us lay aside anger and sin and do righteousness and put our trust in God.

A Word Received: Surrender your priorities to me and let me lead the way forward.
