What Wonderous Love Is This

O Sacred Head, Now Wounded

22 Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. 23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. 24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. Matthew 14:22-24 (NKJV)
Lord, we are in that boat and being tossed by the wind and waves.

25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid." Matthew 14:25-27 (NKJV)
Jesus, come to us however you choose and set us free from fear.

28 And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." 29 So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" Matthew 14:28-30 (NKJV)
Father, thank you that we can cry out to Jesus for him to save us when we are sinking.

31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Matthew 14:31-32 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give us faith to face the present time.

14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful." Revelation 17:14 (NKJV)
Jesus, we are in the midst of a great war, we trust you to bring the victory.

15 O LORD God of Israel, You are righteous, for we are left as a remnant, as it is this day. Here we are before You, in our guilt, though no one can stand before You because of this!" Ezra 9:15 (NKJV)
Jesus, cleanse us by your blood.

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 (NKJV)
LORD, I put my trust in you; guide us by your Holy Spirit.

A Word Received: Come into my presence with thanksgiving.
