"maker of heaven and earth," (Nicene Creed)
Thank you, Father, for your creation. Please help us by your Holy Spirit to be better stewards of your creation.

1 "For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. 2 Now when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 and said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.' So they went. 5 Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise. 6 And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, 'Why have you been standing here idle all day?' 7 They said to him, 'Because no one hired us.' He said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.' Matthew 20:1-7 (NKJV)
Father, even though it is the last hour, there is still work for us to do. Thank you.

17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. 1 Peter 2:17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us honor your stewards in this time of division.

21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 22 "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; 23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 1 Peter 2:21-23 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us to be committed as you were.

9 "For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, That they all may call on the name of the LORD, To serve Him with one accord. Zephaniah 3:9 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, restore to us purity of language, for we often speak evil of one another.

1 Behold, bless the LORD, All you servants of the LORD, Who by night stand in the house of the LORD! Psalm 134:1 (NKJV)
LORD, help us join with the saints in blessing you.

A Word Received: Seek me and you will find me. Knock and it will be opened to you. Ask and you will receive.

DEACON ALAN and DEACON MARYCAROL -- (St. Ann's of Amsterdam Prayer Table report of Monday, Nov. 23) -- We had a most successful first day of Food Giveaway on a cool day with on and off rain. We have filled mid-sized boxes (for families) and bags (for individuals) with non-perishable food items for our neighbors who stop by. We plan to have these boxes and bags out there every Monday through the rest of 2020 and then into the new year. Despite the less=than=ideal weather, we had NINE persons show up at our table, which was set up by the front portals on the sidewalk beside the street. Some people took not only the food but accepted prayer for various illnesses and problems. Please join us in praying for wife and husband couple IVA and LEO, CAROL, NANCY, MADEA and MARIA, PAUL, LESLIE and … a man who did not give his name. He was special to us because he was walking by and we asked if he would like a free bag or box of food, and he said, "No thank you. There are a lot of people around here who need it more than I do." Pray that the weather will be kind to us on Mondays so we can move some more of this food, which was given to us through parishioner donations and from a generous collection by our Boy Scout Troop 48.
God's blessing to you all and have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
