2020 12 12

15 Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk. Matthew 22:15 (NKJV)
Lord, there are those who seek to entangle us in our words. Help us by your Holy Spirit to speak your word clearly.

16 And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men. Matthew 22:16 (NKJV)
Father, protect us from those who come to us with soft, deceiving words.

17 Tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?" 18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, "Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? Matthew 22:17-18 (NKJV)
Jesus, we too are being tested; guide us by your Holy Spirit.

19 Show Me the tax money." So they brought Him a denarius. 20 And He said to them, "Whose image and inscription is this?" 21 They said to Him, "Caesar's." And He said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Matthew 22:19-21 (NKJV)
Father, you have stamped us with your image, and we belong to you. Help us to be faithful in our calling.

17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, Jude 1:17-20 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us pray in the Spirit.

24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25 (NKJV)
Jesus, we ask you to do for us what we are unable to do for ourselves.

24 But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream. Amos 5:24 (NKJV)
LORD, let your justice and righteousness be restored in our land and in your church.

1 May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you; 2 May He send you help from the sanctuary, And strengthen you out of Zion; 3 May He remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah Psalm 20:1-3 (NKJV)
LORD, answer us in these troubled days and hear our cry to you.

A Word Received: Leave the burden of the church at my feet.
