2020 12 31

12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." John 8:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us walk by your light. There is a surrounding darkness which only your light can penetrate.

16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me know you in such a way that I will be made new day by day.

18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, show us how to minister reconciliation. Give us that word of reconciliation.

3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)
Father, keep us in your peace.

1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 (NKJV)
Lord, as Bishop Bill retires, be a very present help in our troubles.

2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Psalm 46:2 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, set us free from fear.

3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Psalm 46:3 (NKJV)
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV)

4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. Psalm 46:4 (NKJV)
LORD, baptize us afresh in the river of your Spirit.

A Word Received: Will you walk through Gesthemene with me? Pray with me inHow Deep The Father's Love For Us this time of agony for my church and my people. Behold, my betrayer is at hand; are you prepared to face him?
