1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1 (NKJV)
Lord, we are come to that place where none of us wanted to be: our earthly shepherd, Bishop Bill, is being taken from us. We turn to you, Jesus, to shepherd and guide us through this time.

Jesus, lead us to pastures where we may be fed with your living word.
3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Psalm 23:3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, restore us in righteousness to the church order and discipline that you want rather than the false rules of men.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)
Father, we are walking through that valley where there is a death of much that we have known and loved. Help us love you more and the rod and staff of your discipline. I have no fear because I know you hold my life in your hand.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Psalm 23:5 (NKJV)
Jesus, please prepare a table for us, even in the presence of our enemies. We ask for the anointing of your Holy Spirit. Let you cup of mercy overflow for us.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. Psalm 23:6 (NKJV)
Jesus, we trust that goodness and mercy will follow us close behind, coming between us and what is past and dead. Holy God, we long to dwell in your house forever; you are our resting place forever.
A Word Received: Let me shepherd and guide you. You are in my hand and I will lead you to green pastures if you will only let me.
