"In sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ..." (BCP 501)

A Word Received: I want my people to live in the hope of the reusrrection and at long last to leave this life knowing I have a better life for them with me forever.

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 1 Corinthians 15:1 (NKJV)
Help each of us, Holy Sprit, to receive the good news of the gospel.

2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:2 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me hold fast the words of hope which have been preached to me.

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for dieing for our sins. I believe the truth of your Scriptures.

4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:4 (NKJV)
Father, by faith and by those whom Jesus revealed himself to I believe in his resurrection.

5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 1 Corinthians 15:5-7 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for the witnesses you raised up to testify to Jesus' resurrection. Help me to be such a witness.

8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. 1 Corinthians 15:8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, thank you for helping us know Jesus' resurrection even though we were born out of due time.
