2021 01 26

9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for the fellowship we have had in this diocese.

10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Corinthians 1:10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, though some will be called to go one way with respect to the Episcopal Church and others go another way, let there be no division in our fellowship with one another.

11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now I say this, that each of you says, "I am of Paul," or "I am of Apollos," or "I am of Cephas," or "I am of Christ." 1 Corinthians 1:11-12 (NKJV)
Father, let there be no contention among us what ever we decide to do.

13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 1 Corinthians 1:13 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are not divided. We plead for unity in your Spirit whatever labels may be attached to our church affiliation.

4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help each of us use our gifts for the whole Body of Christ.

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us abide in love for one another.

A Word Received: Seek for unity in my Body, the Church. Unity is a gift of my Holy Spirit and does not consist of labels, but of hearts given over to me. Don't let the divisions that are coming rob you of unity in me.
