Luciano Pavarotti - Montreal - 1978 - Adeste Fideles
Come, let us adore Jesus who has given us so much.

Luciano Pavarotti - Montreal - 1978 - Agnus Dei (Georges Bizet)
Jesus, you are both the Lamb of God and the shepherd of our souls.

Jonas Kaufmann - Cantique de Noël/O Holy Night - Dresden Adventskonzert '08
Holy Father, please sanctify this nighttime of our diocese. Let your truth and mercy light the way for us and come upon us all.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:7 (NKJV)
Lord, have mercy on those who find no room in their homes and hearts for you.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" 15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us." Luke 2:13-15 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us all go and seek out what God has for us in Christ Jesus. Let him find a home in our hearts.

16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Luke 2:16 (NKJV)
Holy Father, shepherds came with haste to see your Son; let our shepherds do the same.

Jesus, help us join the angel choirs in praising you.

A Word Received: Come with the humility of the shepherds who came to seek me out.

Albany Intercessor

Saint Ann's of Amsterdam -- (Prayer Table report for Monday, Jan. 25) -- Not much to report in the way of attendance this week. Only one person -- NANCY -- came to the table, which is understandable in light of the fact that it was only 5 degrees out. She came by car. There was NO one out walking the streets in that bitter cold. Obviously, we set it up indoors.
Some new twists to the weekly Monday table: We will now be operating between 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. and will be indoors in the Parish Hall until the weather warms up. Also, office manager Jody Demers is now on board helping sort and select clothing, assisting whoever comes in as well as helping set up the non-perishable food items we offer. She has already been a tremendous help to the deacons in this regard. Another new wrinkle to the table is that we are giving out pens, pencils, notebooks and other office supplies. One of the deacons' neighbors donated over a dozen large boxes of these useful supplies that were going to be thrown away. But our neighbor knew of our prayer table and knew these supplies could be used by the needy in our neighborhood as well as other schools in our area. Please feel free to take any of these supplies while they last.
Thank you for your intercessory prayers for this neighborhood ministry. God bless you all
