12/13/2014, #14, 4th Quarter 2014

And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to me, strengthen your brethren." (Luke 22:31-32)
WORD (11/18/06) Pray for the day of my threshing. Pray that none of the wheat will be lost with the chaff. Pray for my little ones who are being led astray by lies. Pray for my will to be done.

Please burn away all the chaff in our lives and help us bear fruit worthy of repentance.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. (2 Thessalonians 3:16)
Lord, we ask for your peace.

The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign in every epistle; so I write. (2 Thessalonians 3:17)
Holy Spirit, thank you for your witness through Paul.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. (2 Thessalonians 3:18 )
Lord Jesus Christ, we daily stand in need of your grace. Amen.

WORD: Look to me for comfort.
WORD: Come to me. Come into my arms. Let me comfort you with my love for you.
WORD: Come to me -- I AM waiting for YOU.

***** Bishop Mike Chapman: My wonderful wife Linda is very sick. She is currently in upstate NY and being cared for by our dearest friends Bill and Carol. Linda and I have been married now for 32 years +. Over those years we have become closer every day. For me any separation is unbearable. Here in Huancayo Peru when one of us gets sick the other one seeks the Lord diligently until they are well.
Linda is very sick right now, I have stayed in Huancayo while she has traveled to the States. Could you please join with me in prayer for her healing and complete recovery. I know that very many of you have many prayer requests on you your lists, but if there are a few seconds that you have free, could you ask the Lord to touch Linda and heal her? Thank you.

***** Prayer Table ST. ANN'S OF AMSTERDAM (Monday, Dec. 8, 20-14, 10-11 a.m. in front of our church on Division Street. John Banfield, James Bryant and Deacon Alan presiding at His table today. It was one of the coldest mornings here for the table we can remember. It was 11 degrees at the start. We gave away nearly all of the used, clean clothing and quite a bit of non-perishable food we offer for free. Please continue to bring in your clean but excess or unwanted WARM clothing for our needy neighbors. There are so many of them. We can use clothing for both sexes and ALL ages. Also, we encourage you to bring in cans of soup, boxes of pasta, mac and cheese, tuna fish, etc.)
NOTE: About 25-30 persons came to the table; most of them also wanted prayer along with the free food and/or clothing. It was so cold my pen would not write! But these were the most vital prayer concerns that I remember. Please pray for these people all week. And please pray for our less-fortunate neighbors around us who are having a hard time making ends meet and getting through each day staying warm and having something to eat.

CONSUELA -- This woman comes for prayer EVERY week. She is battling a serious illness. She comes with her home aide (MARIA) who accompanies her and ALSO gets a general prayer for protection, good health.

JIM -- Sought prayer for continued healing of his heart. (He had operations in July and October.)

DONNA -- FOr her husband JOE, who has heart problems.

REBECCA -- She is having trouble with her leg and also her thyroid glands. Not resting very much during the night.

BIANCA -- SHe says she is bothered by demons who will not leave her alone, but when she comes for prayer they stay away ... for awhile. We prayed that the demons go to Jesus once and for all for binding and to do with as He will.

12/10/2014, #13, 4th Quarter 2014

This they said, testing him, that they might have something of which to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger, as though he did not hear. (John 8:6)
My father-in-law used say that Jesus was writing: "Where is the man?" Lord, please help us speak the truth in love.

And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of his glory!" (Isaiah 6:3)
Help us cry out to one another your holiness, LORD.

So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts." (Isaiah 6:5)
Holy Spirit, clean up the language we use toward one another.

And he touched my mouth with it, and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged." (Isaiah 6:7)
Lord, touch our lips with the fire of your Holy Spirit and purge away our sin.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me." (Isaiah 6:8 )
Jesus, please help me to respond to your call.

Psalm 38:21-22 WORD: I have heard your cry and I will answer you.
WORD: I AM the Good Shepherd -- keep coming back to me.

      2) For God's timing of my visits to Belize in 2015.
      3) For my work while in the U.S.
      4) For the preparation for upcoming courses and the completion of the Spanish Prayer Book.
      5) For God's provision for all our needs both here and abroad, including the sale of our dwelling in Wynantskill.

      Come soon, Lord Jesus.

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:4-5)
Holy Spirit, please help me to walk as a child of the light.

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! (Isaiah 5:20-21)
Have mercy on us, Father, for this is the character of our times.

Philippians 2: 5

Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.

Heavenly Father, this is our constant prayer. Bless Father Shaw Mudge and continue to send your Holy Spirit so that his mind is in agreement with Jesus' mind. May it always be the inspiration of Father, Son and Holy Spirit that leads him as he prepares those new courses for the theology students in Belize.

We thank You for every blessing during this Thanksgiving weekend and as we get ready for the new church year to start tomorrow. We pray for the whole Mudge family. Bless them, provide for them, prosper them. We pray for Lydia as she gets ready for her mission in Honduras. We pray for Mother Julie and her hospital ministry. And for the student getting ready to be ordained to the diaconate and for those new deacons who will progress to the priesthood next year.

Thank You for the increase in donations and in parish visits. We know that You will provide, Lord. We pray especially for a timely selling of the Mudge town house in Wynantskill NY.
