Lord, as you did with Joshua, remove my filthy garments and clothe me in your righteousness.
Psalm 49:5-9 (NKJV)
Why should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity at my heels surrounds me? Those who trust in their wealth and boast in the multitude of their riches, none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him -- for the redemption of their souls is costly, and it shall cease forever -- that he should continue to live eternally, and not see the Pit.
Lord, teach this to the political candidates.

For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. The high places of Isaac shall be desolate, And the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste. I will rise with the sword against the house of Jeroboam."

Matthew 22:15-22 (NKJV)
Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk. And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men. Tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?" But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, "Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? Show Me the tax money." So they brought Him a denarius. And He said to them, "Whose image and inscription is this?" They said to Him, "Caesar's." And He said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way.
Jesus, the image stamped on the denarius was that of Caesar and the inscription said, "Worshiped son of a worshiped god." Jesus, I am stamped with and made in your image. I give myself to you again today.
Jude 1:17-21 (NKJV)
But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Holy Spirit, instill in my mind daily the words that Jesus spoke and help me avoid those mockers who cause division in the Body of Christ. Help me keep looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

I love the LORD, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
Lord, I call upon you; thank you for hearing me.
Psalm 116:3-4 (NKJV)
The pains of death surrounded me, and the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. Then I called upon the name of the LORD: "O LORD, I implore You, deliver my soul!"
Jesus, I have seen the pain of death and known trouble and sorrow; I ask you for the comfort of your Holy Spirit to deliver my soul.
Psalm 117:1-2 (NKJV)

Matthew 22:1-10 (NKJV)
And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding." ' But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.' So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests."
Father, help me set aside everything else to come to the wedding feast of the Lamb.
Matthew 22:11-14 (NKJV)
"But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?' And he was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' For many are called, but few are chosen."
Father, clothe me with the righteousness of your son Jesus so that I may attend his wedding feast.
Jude 1:3 (NKJV)
Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
Holy Spirit, raise up shepherds who will earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all time delivered to the saints.
Amos 5:6-7 (NKJV)
Seek the LORD and live, lest He break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, with no one to quench it in Bethel -- you who turn justice to wormwood, and lay righteousness to rest in the earth!"
Jesus, please help us seek you and live.
Amos 5:14-15 (NKJV)
Seek good and not evil, that you may live; so the LORD God of hosts will be with you, as you have spoken. Hate evil, love good; establish justice in the gate. It may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.
Jesus, help us seek good and not evil in this state; establish justice and be gracious to the faithful remnant.
Psalm 22:30-31 (NKJV)
A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation, they will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has done this.
Lord, may this be true of my posterity.
Word: Thank me for my many mercies to you.

Matthew 21:33-34 (NKJV)
"Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit.
Father, help me yield up the fruit in my life to you that you have the right to expect.
2 Peter 3:17-18 (NKJV)
You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
Holy Spirit, please help me to be steady in my walk with Jesus and grow in his grace and knowledge.
Psalm 18:28 (NKJV)

Matthew 21:23 (NKJV)
Now when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people confronted Him as He was teaching, and said, "By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority?"
Jesus, help us accept the authority of your teaching. Help us to live out and do what you teach.
2 Peter 3:3 (NKJV)
knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,
Father, this is a generation of scoffers walking after their own lusts; have mercy on us.
Psalm 12:8 (NKJV)
The wicked prowl on every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
Holy Spirit, bring to repentance those who exalt vileness among us.
Psalm 13:5-6 (NKJV)
But I have trusted in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, because He has dealt bountifully with me.
Thank you, LORD, for the way you have dealt with us.
Psalm 14:4 (NKJV)
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?
Jesus, bring to repentance those who honor the workers of iniquity.
Psalm 14:7 (NKJV)
Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD brings back the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.
LORD, bring us back from our captivity.
Word: Tell my people to bless one another. I desire to see my blessings abound among them.
St. Ann's Church Amsterdam Prayerline, Wed 12/2/2015 7:16 AM
PRAYER TABLE SCENES -- (Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, 10-11 a.m. on our church's front law. Deacon Alan and James Bryant presiding at His table on a cool but sunny morning.) ... Lots of people turned out this morning and some came as early as 9:30. ALL of the food was distributed between 10 and 10:15 and James made sure everyone got some items and no one hoarded or took more than they needed. ... A great deal of the clean, used clothing provided by thoughtful parishioners who donated was handed out ... the faces of the neighbors we live with always look a little bit more desperate at the end of each month when everyone's pockets naturally are a little more empty. We KNOW our table's food offering helps them. ... please send up your intercessory prayers for MARCIA, DARCY, SUSAN, MARIA, and TONI. The Lord knows the details on each person who needs prayer. ... a heartwarming scene we must share: VIRGINIA, an 89-year-old woman who always comes to Community Meal and is a frequent visitor to the table for food, brought in a box load of her own clean, used clothing to give to those more needy than herself. She pressed and ironed each item, too! ... Last month, one of the young men working for the city crew that was repairing the damaged drainage area on Division Street in front of our church wondered what we were doing out on the lawn giving out food, clothing and offering prayer. When we told him (JOSE) we are there every Monday morning, he vowed to bring in some used things to share with others. Today, he brought a huge sack of clothing for us to give out. We are seeing many examples like this of people helping each other through His table. What a blessing! See what we started! People helping people. What a great concept. The gospel "Love your neighbor as yourself" is being lived out at St. Ann's.

Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
Jesus, drive from your churches anything that corrupts or pollutes them.
Matthew 21:13 (NKJV)
And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.' "

Matthew 21:14 (NKJV)
Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.

Matthew 21:15-16 (NKJV)
But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?"
Father, bless the ministry to youth throughout this diocese and help us to take to heart the praise of your children.
Matthew 21:18-19 (NKJV)
Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away.
Lord, we too will wither away if we do not bear fruit for you.
Psalm 10:6-7 (NKJV)
He has said in his heart, "I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity." His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is trouble and iniquity.
Lord, stop the mouths of those candidates whose mouths are filled with cursing and deceit.
Psalm 10:14 (NKJV)
But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, to repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.
Father, have mercy on the fatherless and those children caught up in the foster care system.
Psalm 11:3 (NKJV)
If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? [Alternate translation: "What is a good person to do when things fall apart?"]
