Then they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, we know that You say and teach rightly, and You do not show personal favoritism, but teach the way of God in truth: Luke 20:21 (NKJV)
Jesus, set me free from hypocrisy and pretense.

Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?" But He perceived their craftiness, and said to them, "Why do you test Me? Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?" They answered and said, "Caesar's." And He said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Luke 20:22-25 (NKJV)
Holy Trinity, One God, please give us discernment of what belongs to Caesar and what belongs to you. LORD, so often we say, "This is mine," when in fact it belongs to you or Caesar. Help us repent of such folly.

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us receive your word and let it have its perfecting work in us.

For you are our glory and joy. 1 Thessalonians 2:20 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for the glory and joy I have found in the Body of Christ.

Many people shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:3 (NKJV)
O God, help us come to you and be taught by you.

He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. Isaiah 2:4 (NKJV)
Jesus, bring us to your peace.

For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. Psalm 50:10 (NKJV)
LORD, it is time to sell off some of your cattle and provide for the poor among us. Help us know what we should sell off to provide for those in need. (Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. Acts 4:32 (NKJV))

A word received: Seize the opportunities I give you.

Then the owner of the vineyard said, 'What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. Probably they will respect him when they see him.' But when the vinedressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.' So they cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and destroy those vinedressers and give the vineyard to others." And when they heard it they said, "Certainly not!" Luke 20:13-16 (NKJV)
Lord, we are loath to take responsibility for our actions. The church is the vineyard that you own; it does not belong to us. Help us yield up the fruit that is rightfully yours to you.

Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. 1 Thessalonians 2:5-7 (NKJV)
Father, please help me seek the glory that come from you and not from men.

So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. 1 Thessalonians 2:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me give my life over to you in service to you and your people.

that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. 1 Thessalonians 2:12 (NKJV)
Father, help me walk worthy of your call to me.

Your princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves; everyone loves bribes, and follows after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, nor does the cause of the widow come before them. Isaiah 1:23 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us defend the fatherless and let the cause of the widow come before us.

I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city." Isaiah 1:26 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us become a righteous and fruitful city.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance. Psalm 33:12 (NKJV)
Father, help us receive this blessing.

The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works. Psalm 33:13-15 (NKJV)
Father, you don't use a cookie cutter with us, but treat each of us individually.

Now it happened on one of those days, as He taught the people in the temple and preached the gospel, that the chief priests and the scribes, together with the elders, confronted Him and spoke to Him, saying, "Tell us, by what authority are You doing these things? Or who is he who gave You this authority?" Luke 20:1-2 (NKJV)
Jesus, so many look to their own authorities rather than yours; have mercy on your church.

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God. 1 Thessalonians 1:1-4 (NKJV)
Help us, Holy Spirit, daily give thanks for all the saints whose works of faith, labors in love and patience in hope lead others to Jesus.

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for delivering me from the wrath to come.

"Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:16-17 (NKJV)
Father, help us learn to do the good that you desire.

"Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken. Isaiah 1:18-20 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us see the clear choices before us and choose to do what is good in your sight.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: Psalm 122:6a (NKJV)
"Father, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
May they prosper that love you.
Peace be within your city walls and prosperity within your palaces.
And for the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say,
      'Peace be with you.'
Because of the house of the LORD our God,
I will seek to do you good."

One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. Psalm 145:4 (NKJV)
LORD, help us tell the next generation all that you have done for us.

The LORD upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down. Psalm 145:14 (NKJV)
LORD, help us join you in holding up those who fall.

"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps." Matthew 25:1-4 (NKJV)
Jesus, anoint me with the oil of your Holy Spirit.

"And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!' " Matthew 25:6 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, prepare my heart for the coming of Jesus.

"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." Matthew 25:13 (NKJV)
Father, grant to me a watchful heart.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for your patience with me.

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Isaiah 1:1 (NKJV)
Father, please give me a vision of your work among us.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the LORD has spoken: " I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me; the ox knows its owner and the donkey its master's crib; but Israel does not know, My people do not consider." Isaiah 1:2-3 (NKJV)
Father, so many of your children have forgotten you; have mercy on us.

Unless the LORD of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been made like Gomorrah. Isaiah 1:9 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me be counted among that faithful remnant.

To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me. Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause. Psalm 25:1-3 (NKJV)
LORD, I life up my soul to you.

Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day. Psalm 25:4-5 (NKJV)
LORD, show me your ways and teach me; lead me onto your paths of truth and salvation.

Nunc dimittis. St. Luke ii. 29.
LORD, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word. Luke 2:29
LORD, your word gives life and peace; let my life end saturated with your word.

For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Luke 2:30
Father, thank you for opening my eyes and giving me sight of your salvation.

Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; Luke 2:31
Jesus, please help me make your saving work known to many peoples.

To be a light to lighten the Gentiles, and to be the glory of thy people Israel. Luke 2:32
Holy Spirit, let the light of your glory shine on my path and bring glory to many people. Thank you.

Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes." Luke 19:41-42 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us join with Jesus in weeping over our cities; for we have not recognized the day of Jesus' visitation.

Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it, Luke 19:45 (NKJV)
Jesus, we pray that you will drive out everything that corrupts your Body and ours. Let your Body be a place of prayer for all nations.

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Philippians 2:1-2 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, bring us to that unity that will bring joy to the saints in heaven and on earth.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:5-8 (NKJV)
Help me have your mind, Jesus, and joyfully pay the cost of following you.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me join with Timothy and all your saints in making the good confession.

As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, The LORD shall lead them away With the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel! Psalm 125:5 (NKJV)
LORD, turn those who have gone aside to crooked ways back to your straight and narrow way. Thank you.

And if anyone asks you, 'Why are you loosing it?' thus you shall say to him, 'Because the Lord has need of it.' " So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them. But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, "Why are you loosing the colt?" And they said, "The Lord has need of him." Luke 19:31-34 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us all discover that your instructions are sufficient for the occasion.

Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying: "'Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!' Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Luke 19:37-38 (NKJV)
King Jesus, come riding into the life of our churches and communities.

Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God. Romans 15:17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me receive all whom you send me.

And in that day it shall be that living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea; in both summer and winter it shall occur. And the LORD shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be -- "The LORD is one," and His name one. Zechariah 14:8-9 (NKJV)
Lord Jesus, let your living waters flow through our lives, churches, and communities. Be king over us -- rule and reign in our hearts.

Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Psalm 25:4 (NKJV)
Jesus, show me, teach me, lead me; for You Are and I wait on you.

I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth -- praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:1-3 (NKJV)
Jesus, set my feet upon the rock and put a new song in my mouth -- a song of joy and thanksgiving.

I delight to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is within my heart." Psalm 40:8 (NKJV)
Father, you are my delight; daily write your law within my heart.

            A General Confession
ALMIGHTY and most merciful Father; We have erred, and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare thou those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore thou those who are penitent; According to thy promises declared unto mankind In Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake; That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, To the glory of thy holy Name. Amen.

The Declaration of Absolution, or Remission of Sins.
ALMIGHTY God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who desireth not the death of a sinner, but rather that he may turn from his wickedness and live, hath given power, and commandment, to his Ministers, to declare and pronounce to his people, being penitent, the Absolution and Remission of their sins. He pardoneth and absolveth all those who truly repent, and unfeignedly believe his holy Gospel. Wherefore let us beseech him to grant us true repentance, and his Holy Spirit, that those things may please him which we do at this present; and that the rest of our life hereafter may be pure and holy; so that at the last we may come to his eternal joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

            A General Thanksgiving.
ALMIGHTY God, Father of all mercies, we, thine unworthy servants, do give thee most humble and hearty thanks for all thy goodness and loving-kindness to us and to all men; We bless thee for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all, for thine inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory. And, we beseech thee, give us that due sense of all thy mercies, that our hearts may he unfeignedly thankful; and that we show forth thy praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up our selves to thy service, and by walking before thee in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with thee and the Holy Ghost, be all honour and glory, world without end. Amen.

And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Luke 19:15 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me wisely and compassionately use the gifts you have given me.

And he said to him, 'Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. Luke 19:22 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for all that I have received from you.

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, Ephesians 1:15-17 (NKJV)
Father, please give me a spirit of wisdom and revelation in knowledge of you.

the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, Ephesians 1:18 (NKJV)
Father, help me know and respond to the hope of my calling and the riches of the glory of my inheritance with the saints.

"I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'This is My people'; and each one will say, 'The LORD is my God.' " Zechariah 13:9 (NKJV)
LORD, you are my God and I submit myself to your refining fire.

Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD; Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications. Psalm 130:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, hear my cry to you for this land and its people.

If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. Psalm 130:3-4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help your people receive the forgiveness you freely offer.

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning -- yes, more than those who watch for the morning. Psalm 130:5-6 (NKJV)
      LORD, I wait on you.

James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. James 1:1 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me be your servant, whatever the cost.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, James 1:2 (NKJV)
Jesus, I have learned through many trials that you are faithful and you have carried me through all the trials.

knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:3 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for your testing my faith in you and the patience it has produced.

But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, perfect your work of patience in my life so that Jesus may be my all in all.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 (NKJV)
Father, please give me your wisdom so that I will know no reproach from you. The world's wisdom is passing away; I want your wisdom.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6 (NKJV)
Jesus, I know what it is to be tossed and driven by the storms of life; I long to hear your "Peace, be still!" as you quiet the wind and waves.

For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:7-8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please give me and undivided heart and singleness of purpose centered in Jesus.

Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, James 1:9 (NKJV)
Thank you, Jesus, that I can desire to be like you and walk like you in humility of spirit.

So He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life." Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again." Luke 18:29-33 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for going ahead to Jerusalem for us when you knew what lay before you.

Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging. And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he cried out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Luke 18:35-38 (NKJV)
Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on us!

Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Luke 18:39 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us repent of trying to quiet those who cry out to Jesus in their hour of need.

And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God. Luke 18:43 (NKJV)
Father, let our healing bring you glory.

According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are my foundation stone and the rock I want to build on.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their own craftiness"; and again, "The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile." 1 Corinthians 3:19-20 (NKJV)
Lord, our generation has confused knowledge with true wisdom. Help me to fear you so that I may be wise.

Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just; for the righteous God tests the hearts and minds. My defense is of God, Who saves the upright in heart. Psalm 7:9-10 (NKJV)
Jesus, I look to you to be my guide and shepherd.

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36:7-9 (NKJV)

Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them to Him and said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." Luke 18:15-17 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us recive with joy every child you send us.

And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, "How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." And those who heard it said, "Who then can be saved?" But He said, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." Luke 18:24-27 (NKJV)
Jesus, we have been blinded by wealth and the outward trappings of success in our country. Help us recognize the danger of desiring wealth instead of you.

Then Peter said, "See, we have left all and followed You." So He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life." Luke 18:28-30 (NKJV)
Thank you for the blessings we have received in following you, Jesus.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us recognize and seize the opportunities you give us to do good to others, especially those who are of the household of faith.

I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. Psalm 9:1 (NKJV)
Holy Father, help us tell others of all that you have done for us.

Arise, O LORD, do not let man prevail; let the nations be judged in Your sight. Put them in fear, O LORD, that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Psalm 9:19-20 (NKJV)
LORD, help us recognize our condition and turn to you.

Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Psalm 73:1-3 (NKJV)

Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, 'The Lord has need of them,' and immediately he will send them." Matthew 21:1-3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me let go of anything Jesus needs.

Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' Hosanna in the highest!" Matthew 21:9 (NKJV)
Father, help us sing Hosannas whenever we see Jesus coming into our lives.

Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.' " Matthew 21:12-13 (NKJV) "For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations." Isaiah 56:7b (NKJV)
Father, cleanse the temples of our hearts and churches so that we become houses of prayer for all nations.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 1 Peter 3:15 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, thank you for the hope you have given me.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9 (NKJV)
Jesus, come riding into my life and help me greet you with great joy.

Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you. Zechariah 9:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for making me a prisoner of hope.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1 (NKJV)
Jesus, please shepherd me; you are what I want.

He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Psalm 23:3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, restore my soul and lead me in your righteous ways.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for the comfort you gave us as we walked through the valley of the shadow of death.

Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul. Psalm 66:16 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give us ears to hear you.

A word received: I have walked with you through the valley. I will always be at your side.

Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Luke 18:9 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me place my trust only in you and find my righteousness in your cross and blood. Forgive me when I have despised others.

"And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!' " Luke 18:13 (NKJV)
God, be merciful to me a sinner.

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:14 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, increase and bless the healing ministry of the elders in your church.

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16 (NKJV)
Jesus, move us to such a fellowship of confession and repentance and fervent prayer.

Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20 (NKJV)
Father, please help us assist those who have wandered from the truth.

Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD listened and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who meditate on His name. Malachi 3:16 (NKJV)
LORD, please write my name in your bood of remembrance.

"And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse." Malachi 4:6 (NKJV)
LORD, turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers in this land.

A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Psalm 63:1-2 (NKJV)
Jesus, I looke to you for living water.

Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Psalm 100:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, help me come into your presence with singing and gladness.

For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:5 (NKJV)
LORD, let your enduring truth fill my heart and mind.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, Luke 18:1 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me to keep praying and not lose heart.

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. James 5:7-8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, you have told me over and over again to wait and be patient; establish my heart and mind on Jesus, my rock and refuge.

He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the LORD an offering in righteousness. Malachi 3:3 (NKJV)
LORD, purify me and purge me of sin so that I may offer my life to you in righteousness.

But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your "Yes," be "Yes," and your "No," "No," lest you fall into judgment. James 5:12 (NKJV)
Father, help me to be steady in keeping my word.

And I will come near you for judgment;
I will be a swift witness
Against sorcerers,
Against adulterers,
Against perjurers,
Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans,
And against those who turn away an alien--
Because they do not fear Me," Says the LORD of hosts. Malachi 3:5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us take all these judgments to heart in this country.

Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you," Says the LORD of hosts. "But you said, 'In what way shall we return?' " Malachi 3:7 (NKJV)
Help me return to you so that you will return to me.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10 (NKJV)
Lord GOD of Hosts, let our churches be storehouses of plenty where people may find food for their bodies and souls.

Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled. Psalm 6:2 (NKJV)
Lord Jesus Christ, heal me and all those who suffer from arthritis or other bone diseases such as leukemia.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They have bowed down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright. Psalm 20:7-8 (NKJV)
LORD, I put my trust in you.

A word received: When you are afraid, turn to me.

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:20-21 (NKJV)
Jesus, establish the kingdom of God in my heart and mind, soul and spirit.

"In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. Remember Lot's wife." Luke 17:31-32 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me keep looking forward to the life you now have for me.

Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that." But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. James 4:13-17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me seize every opportunity you give me to do good and to entrust my life to your care and provision.

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you. James 5:1-6 (NKJV)
Father, bring the rich in this land who exploit the poor to repentance before the Day of Judgment.

Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem, for Judah has profaned the LORD'S holy institution which He loves: he has married the daughter of a foreign god. Malachi 2:11 (NKJV)
LORD, teach our young men and women to marry where they can be equally yoked and faithful to you.

Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. Psalm 116:7 (NKJV)
LORD, help me rest in your bounty.

A word received: I have blessed you; return to me and give thanks.

So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. Luke 17:14 (NKJV)
Jesus, please cleanse me as I go forward at your direction.

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. Luke 17:15-16 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me thank Jesus for all he has done in my life.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. James 3:13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, bring me to the meekness of wisdom.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:17-18 (NKJV)
Father, bring us to this wisdom in this nation.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10 (NKJV)
Lord, help me humble myself in your sight.

"For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; in every place incense shall be offered to My name, and a pure offering; for My name shall be great among the nations," says the LORD of hosts. Malachi 1:11 (NKJV)
LORD, we pray that your name will be great and kept holy among us.

"But cursed be the deceiver who has in his flock a male, and takes a vow, but sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished -- for I am a great King," says the LORD of hosts, "and My name is to be feared among the nations. Malachi 1:14 (NKJV)
Father, please help us make a holy offering to you.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust." Psalm 91:1-2 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me dwell with you for you are my refuge and fortress.

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. Psalm 91:3-6 (NKJV)
Father, please put on all of us the shoes of the preparation to share the gospel of peace; gird our loins with your truth; put on us the breastplate of righteousness, and the helmet of salvation. Place on our arm the shield of faith with which to quench every fiery dart of the evil one; and place in our hand the sword of your Spirit which is your word; that having stood all, we might yet stand. Finally, help us to be strong in Jesus and in the power of his might, and cast off from us the chains of apathy that keep us from speaking boldly as we ought to speak. Thank you. (See Ephesians 6:10-20)

"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation." Psalm 91:14-16 (NKJV)
      Thank you, Lord.

A word received: Wait on me; I will supply.
      Thank you.

"And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him." And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith." Luke 17:4-5 (NKJV)
Jesus, it takes faith to forgive, to leave justice in your hands and desire mercy instead. Increase our faith.

"So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.' " Luke 17:10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me do all I am commanded to do.

But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. James 3:8-10 (NKJV)
So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts." Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged." Isaiah 6:5-7 (NKJV)

Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls -- yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NKJV)
      Jesus, you are my joy.

The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills. Habakkuk 3:19a (NKJV)
LORD, you are my strength and you establish my feet.

Blessed be the LORD, because He has heard the voice of my supplications! Psalm 28:6 (NKJV)
LORD, I bless you and thank you for hearing me.

The LORD reigns; let the peoples tremble! He dwells between the cherubim; let the earth be moved! Psalm 99:1 (NKJV)
LORD, rule and reign in my heart.

Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy. Psalm 99:9 (NKJV)
      Father, help me worship you.

"But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores." Luke 16:20-21 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us recognize and respond to the poor at our gates.

"Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' " Luke 16:24 (NKJV)
Jesus, the rich man knew who Lazarus was and did not help him, and saw Lazarus as someone who should serve him. Have mercy on us and help us serve the poor among us.

"And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.' " Luke 16:26 (NKJV)
Father, bring the wealthy of this land to repentance; help them know the great gulf fixed between the self-serving wealthy and the poor.

"But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.' " Luke 16:31 (NKJV)
Jesus, help the wealthy in this land (including the President Elect) hear Moses and the prophets as well as Jesus.

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:14-17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us recognize the peril we are in if we do not have both faith and works.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:26 (NKJV)
Jesus, bring us to new life by your Holy Spirit.

"Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me live by faith.

For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with understanding. Psalm 47:7 (NKJV)
      LORD, give me understanding.

I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly. Psalm 85:8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, keep us from turning back to folly.

Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel! Matthew 23:24 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us know and live out what is really important in your sight.

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Philippians 3:12 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us press on and lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus laid hold of us.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 (NKJV)
Father, help me keep answering your call and press on to your victory in me.

Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. Philippians 3:17 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me recognize and follow those who truly model your life.

Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved. Philippians 4:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, having stood all, help me to stand -- stand on the rock who is Jesus Christ. Thank you.

The burden which the prophet Habakkuk saw. O LORD, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear? Even cry out to You, "Violence!" and You will not save. Why do You show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; there is strife, and contention arises. Therefore the law is powerless, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; therefore perverse judgment proceeds. Habakkuk 1:1-4 (NKJV)
LORD, I am burdened by the corruption and arrogance of those with money and power in our country. Let you law, justice, and mercy go forth in the land.

Are You not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O LORD, You have appointed them for judgment; O Rock, You have marked them for correction. Habakkuk 1:12 (NKJV)
Father, you have marked out those you hold in derision for your judgment and correction.

I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. Habakkuk 2:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me stand my watch and listen to you.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Psalm 46:1-3 (NKJV)
God, you are our refuge and strength in these troubled times.

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. Psalm 46:4 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me swim in the river of your Holy Spirit.

The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved. Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting. Psalm 93:1-2 (NKJV)
Though the thrones and kingdoms of men pass away, Lord, your throne will endure through all eternity.

The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea. Psalm 93:3-4 (NKJV)
LORD, we are caught up in a flood of change but we know that you are mightier still, and will carry us beyond the tumult and the shouting of angry people. Thank you.

A word received: Put your trust in me.

"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much." Luke 16:10 (NKJV)
Lord, help me to be faithful in the little things as well as the big.

"No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Luke 16:13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, reveal to me where I am double minded and trying to serve another master besides Jesus.

"Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery." Luke 16:18 (NKJV)
Lord, heal the marriages in this land.

My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. James 2:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us hold all those who campaigned in equal respect to bring glory to Jesus.

For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, "You sit here in a good place," and say to the poor man, "You stand there," or, "Sit here at my footstool," have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? James 2:2-6 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us honor the political decisions of the poor in this land who felt abused and left out by the rich and powerful.

So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:12-13 (NKJV)
Jesus, I pray that your mercy will triumph over my judgments.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. Joel 3:14 (NKJV)
Father, help me make the right choices in the day of decision.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:10 (NKJV)
LORD, bring us to wisdom and a good understanding.

The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Psalm 118:14 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are my strength and my song.

Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, and I will praise the LORD. This is the gate of the LORD, through which the righteous shall enter. Psalm 118:19-20 (NKJV)
Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Psalm 24:7 (NKJV)

A word received: I will help you lift up those gates so that I may enter into your soul.

2016 11 11

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us in this post-election time to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath; for our wrath does not produce your fruit.

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:19-27 (NKJV)
Jesus, we have seen how filthiness and wickedness and evil speaking have divided this nation; help us receive your word into our hearts and know that our salvation comes only from you.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22 (NKJV)
Father, please help me, help us to be doers of your word. Set us free from self-deception.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. James 1:23-24 (NKJV)
Holy Trinity, One God, help us see ourselves in the mirror of your word and know our true condition. Bring to repentance all those who hold others in contempt.

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. James 1:25-26 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us to be doers of your word and put a bridle on our tongues.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us accept with meekness the tasks you give us to do and remain unspotted by the world.

A word received: Come with humility to my word.

Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, "This Man receives sinners and eats with them." Luke 15:1-2 (NKJV)
Lord, I too am a sinner, please invite me to eat with you.

"But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you," Luke 15:17-18 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me "come to myself" and return to my Father in heaven day by day.

and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." ' Luke 15:19 (NKJV)
Jesus, I have no worthiness except what you give me.

And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' Luke 15:21 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me make a good confession.

"Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, 'Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.' But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him." Luke 15:25-28 (NKJV)
Father, there are so many "elder sons" who out of bitterness of spirit will not go into the celebration you have prepared; help them by your Holy Spirit to enter in.

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! While I live I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Psalm 146:1-2 (NKJV)
Father, in this highly political time, help me sing praises to you.

Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; in that very day his plans perish. Psalm 146:3-4 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me put my trust in you rather than in rulers and those in authority. "All we like sheep have gone astray" (Isaiah 53:6) and you alone are trustworthy.

A word received: Keep your eyes on me and not on things which are passing away.

Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men-- as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. 1 Peter 2:13-17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, show us how to live consistent with your word in Scripture and give due honor to the Preseident Elect.

And they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard." Acts 4:18-20 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us listen to you and speak and do what we have seen and heard of God.

A word received: You are in my care; that has never changed.

if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)
      [Add your own prayer here.]

And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. Luke 14:27 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me bear the cross you give me.

"So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple." Luke 14:33 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, show me what you want me to forsake.

After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! Revelation 19:1 (NKJV)
Father, please help me join in that great multitude praising you.

Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!' " And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God." Revelation 19:9 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me receive this blessing.

Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:4-5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, come this morning and throughout the day and give me and all who vote discernment of your word to them.

Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; save Your servant who trusts in You! Psalm 86:2 (NKJV)
LORD, preserve and save your people who trust in you.

Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. Psalm 86:11 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give me an undivided heart to follow Jesus.

A word received: Rest in me. Let me have your burdens.

if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)
LORD, help us humble ourselves before you, pray, and seek your face, and turn from our wicked ways, so that you will hear from heaven and forgive our sins and heal our land.

Then He said to him, "A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, 'Come, for all things are now ready.' But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.' And another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.' Still another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.' " Luke 14:16-20 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us repent of making excuses for not coming to your table. Help us come in Spirit and truth.

"So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.' " Luke 14:21 (NKJV)
Father, please help us welcome all whom you have brought to the wedding feast of the Lamb.

"And the servant said, 'Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.' Then the master said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.' " Luke 14:22-24 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us make room for all whom you have called.

Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the LORD is coming, for it is at hand: Joel 2:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us hear the trumpet call and repent.

The LORD reigns; Let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad! Clouds and darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Psalm 97:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, let your righteousness and justice be the foundation stones of this nation.

Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in His commandments. Psalm 112:1 (NKJV)
LORD, help me to be such a man.

Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. Psalm 112:4 (NKJV)
Father, we are a nation walking in darkness; help us see by your light.

He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established; he will not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies. Psalm 112:7-8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give me a steadfast heart which is not shaken by current events. Establish my hear upon your truth, love and mercy.

A word received: Weep for those who hold my little ones in contempt. The day of my judgment is coming.

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' " Luke 13:34-35 (NKJV)
Jesus, you have longed to gather us in your arms and we have each gone our own way; help us repent and return to you.

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful." Revelation 17:14 (NKJV)
Lord Jesus, Lamb of God, overcome the evil in our nation and culture.

"For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the LORD, to serve Him with one accord. Zephaniah 3:9 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, restore the purity of our language; for we are a people of unclean lips and we have seen your holiness (see Isaiah 6:5-6).

The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness and speak no lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they shall feed their flocks and lie down, and no one shall make them afraid." Zephaniah 3:13 (NKJV)
Father, raise up a holy remnant that will speak the truth in love. We are surrounmded by deceitful tongues and we long to lie down in you sheep fold in peace.

By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas; Psalm 65:5 (NKJV)
      Jesus, you are my confidence.

I cried out to You, O LORD: I said, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living. Psalm 142:5 (NKJV)
O LORD, you are my portion in the land of the living and you are my refuge and I flee to you in the gathering storm.

Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise Your name; the righteous shall surround me, for You shall deal bountifully with me." Psalm 142:7 (NKJV)

Then He said, "What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches." Luke 13:18-19 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, plant the seed of the kingdom deep in my heart and let it grow and flourish.

And again He said, "To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened." Luke 13:20-21 (NKJV)
Lord, let the leaven of your Spirit be worked through my whole life.

And He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then one said to Him, "Lord, are there few who are saved?" And He said to them, "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Luke 13:22-24 (NKJV)
Father, help me enter by that narrow gate.

Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust. Psalm 16:1 (NKJV)
Lord Jesus Christ, I trust that you will work out your purposes in this election and preserve your people.

I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. Psalm 16:7 (NKJV)
Thank you for your instruction throughout the day and the night.

I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for being at my right hand.

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me find my pleasure in Jesus and in his Father's love for me.

Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah Psalm 62:8 (NKJV)

Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. Luke 13:10-11 (NKJV)
Lord, there are so many in your church who are bowed down in a spirit of infirmity; have mercy on us.

But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, "Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity." And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. Luke 13:12-13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help the infirm hear Jesus' words of freedom from bondage and receive his touch.

But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, "There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day." The Lord then answered him and said, "Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound--think of it--for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?" And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. Luke 13:14-17 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us keep the Sabbath as you did -- doing works of mercy and love as well as worship.

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth." Revelation 16:1 (NKJV)
Lord, a time of wrath is coming upon us and I pray that none of the wheat will be lost with the chaff.

And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, O Lord, the One who is and who was and who is to be, because You have judged these things. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due." Revelation 16:5-6 (NKJV)
Lord, in your justice, remember mercy.

They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. Revelation 16:11 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us repent of our evil deeds.

Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, O undesirable nation, before the decree is issued, or the day passes like chaff, before the LORD'S fierce anger comes upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger comes upon you! Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth, who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the LORD'S anger. Zephaniah 2:1-3 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us seek you and your righteousness.

This is the rejoicing city that dwelt securely, that said in her heart, "I am it, and there is none besides me." How has she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down! Everyone who passes by her shall hiss and shake his fist. Zephaniah 2:15 (NKJV)
Father, we have rejoiced in ourselves and we are no better than the Pharissee "who prayed this with himself". Have mercy on us and turn our hearts back to you. (See Luke 18:11)

He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:3 (NKJV)
Jesus, plant me beside rivers of living water so that I may bear fruit for you.

He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works. Psalm 33:15 (NKJV)
LORD, you deal with us individually and no as with a cookie cutter. Thank you.

A word received: I have blessed you with companions along the way.
      Thank you.
