And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren." Luke 22:31-32 (NKJV)
Jesus, pray for us as we also are sifted by the evil one.

Then He said, "I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me." Luke 22:34 (NKJV)
Lord, you know all our weaknesses and failures; have mercy on us and make us clean.

And He said to them, "When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?" So they said, "Nothing." Luke 22:35 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for your provision for us all these years.

till another king arose who did not know Joseph. Acts 7:18 (NKJV)
LORD, we now have a ruler who knows not Joseph; have mercy on us and lead us.

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Psalm 32:1 (NKJV)
Thank you, LORD for this blessing.

Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. Psalm 32:2 (NKJV)
LORD, set us free from all guile and deceit.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Psalm 32:8 (NKJV)
Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah!

A word received: You are in my care; rejoice in that.

Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, Luke 19:41 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are weeping over our city as well.

saying, "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. Luke 19:42 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us recognize the time of Jesus' visitation.

For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation." Luke 19:43-44 (NKJV)
Father, we are surrounded by enemies: drugs, the casino, lotteries that delude people, militant secularism, etc. Have mercy on us.

Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it, saying to them, "It is written, 'My house is a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.' " Luke 19:45-46 (NKJV)
Jesus, come and cleanse your church in our community and make it a house of prayer for all peoples (see Isaiah 56:7).

And He was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people sought to destroy Him, and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to hear Him. Luke 19:47-48 (NKJV)
Jesus, come through your Holy Spirit and teach daily in our churches; and let the people be attentive to hear you.

I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. Psalm 40:1-2 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for pulling me out of the miry clay and establishing my steps on the rock.

A word received: Take pleasure in my love for you.

And it came to pass, when He came near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, saying, "Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. And if anyone asks you, 'Why are you loosing it?' thus you shall say to him, 'Because the Lord has need of it.' " So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them. But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, "Why are you loosing the colt?" And they said, "The Lord has need of him." Luke 19:29-34 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me follow Jesus' instructions as these disciples did.

Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying: "'Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!' Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Luke 19:37-38 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us rejoice as these people did when you come among us.

And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples." But He answered and said to them, "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out." Luke 19:39-40 (NKJV)
Father, don't let us quench exuberant praise of your son Jesus.

And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me know you and the power of your resurrection, and the fellowship of your sufferings, being conformed to your death. (from Philippians 3:10)

LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells. Psalm 26:8 (NKJV)

Then another came, saying, 'Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief. For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.' Luke 19:20-21 (NKJV)
Lord, so many hide away the light of the gospel and produce nothing with it.

And he said to him, 'Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?' And he said to those who stood by, 'Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.' Luke 19:22-24 (NKJV)
Jesus, you will be our judge for our failure to use what you have given us.

(But they said to him, 'Master, he has ten minas.') Luke 19:25 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us repent of jealousy over your generosity to others.

For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Luke 19:26 (NKJV)
Father, please help us learn that it only by giving that we receive.

But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.' " Luke 19:27 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are Lord and King, and a day of judgment is coming to your church.

in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness-- besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. 2 Corinthians 11:26-28 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for those who risk everything to share the gospel and for the building up of your church.

Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. Psalm 96:1-3 (NKJV)

Many of us were deeply moved by the two videos that Bishop Harold Miller showed as part of his testimony. They can be seen on by clicking on the YouTube button on the Down and Dromore diocesan home page. This will take you to a page where videos can be viewed. There are other videos there as well.

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, Philippians 3:10 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me daily embrace your cross; thank you for that great fellowship of your sufferings.

Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. Luke 19:1-4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us be like Zacchaeus and do whatever it takes to see Jesus.

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, "Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house." Luke 19:5 (NKJV)
Jesus, you knew Zacchaeus and you know me. Thank you.

So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. Luke 19:6 (NKJV)
Father, help us come with haste and joy to see Jesus.

But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, "He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner." Luke 19:7 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me repent of grumbling about others finding their freedom in Christ Jesus.

Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold." Luke 19:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me respond with true repentance as Zacchaeus did.

And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:9-10 (NKJV)
Jesus, let your saving grace come into each of our homes as it did for Zacchaeus.

A word received: Desire my blessing as Zaccaeus did.

But they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know the things which were spoken. Luke 18:34 (NKJV)
Lord Jesus, there is so much that is still hidden from me that I don't understand. That's OK; I still trust you to lead me.

So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he cried out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Luke 18:37-38 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me by your Holy Spirit to cry out to you for help whenever I need it.

Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Luke 18:39 (NKJV)
Thank you Holy Spirit for those who are undaunted by the pressure of others' opinions and still cry out to Jesus.

So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, saying, "What do you want Me to do for you?" He said, "Lord, that I may receive my sight." Then Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God. Luke 18:40-43 (NKJV)
Father, help me praise you for the sight you have given me.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me cast down every argument of the evil one that would lead me astray.

For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. 2 Corinthians 10:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me stop comparing myself with others and putting myself down.

Now it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the LORD your God drives you, and you return to the LORD your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, that the LORD your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the LORD your God has scattered you. Deuteronomy 30:1-3 (NKJV)
LORD, we are in captivity to the world's wisdom. Help us return to you with all our hearts.

And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live. Deuteronomy 30:6 (NKJV)
LORD our God, circumcise our hearts.

But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. "See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, Deuteronomy 30:14-15 (NKJV)
Jesus, you have put before us a choice with eternal consequences; help me choose life.

Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Psalm 73:1-3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, set me free from envy of the wicked.

Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Luke 18:9 (NKJV)
Jesus, protect me from this folly.

"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank You that I am not like other men--extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.' Luke 18:10-12 (NKJV)
Father, the Pharisee's entire attention was on himself rather than you. Protect me from this.

And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!' I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Luke 18:13-14 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, do a work in my heart as you did with the tax collector.

And we have sent with him the brother whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches, and not only that, but who was also chosen by the churches to travel with us with this gift, which is administered by us to the glory of the Lord Himself and to show your ready mind, 2 Corinthians 8:18-19 (NKJV)
LORD, raise up traveling companions for me along the way as we go through life.

"And it shall be, when you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it, that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that the LORD your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where the LORD your God chooses to make His name abide. And you shall go to the one who is priest in those days, and say to him, 'I declare today to the LORD your God that I have come to the country which the LORD swore to our fathers to give us.' Deuteronomy 26:1-3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me offer up the first fruits of my life to you each day.

Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping. The LORD has heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. Psalm 6:8-9 (NKJV)
In the name of Jesus depart from me every evil spirit that would hinder me.

A word received: Keep looking forward to me. Remember Lot's wife and her folly of looking back. I will do what you cannot. I will be your companion.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, Luke 18:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me keep on praying and not lose heart.

Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:6-8 (NKJV)
Lord, vengeance and justice are in your hands. I want your will to be done, not mine.

Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, 2 Corinthians 8:1-3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me find this same freedom of spirit.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for the riches I have found in you.

You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the LORD your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment. You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous. You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the LORD your God is giving you. Deuteronomy 16:18-20 (NKJV)
Father, I pray for your justice and mercy in this land.

Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites. Deuteronomy 17:18 (NKJV)
LORD, raise up rulers in this land who will dig into your word daily.

Oh, that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries. Psalm 81:13-14 (NKJV)
LORD, help us listen to you, you are the true defense of this nation.

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:20-21 (NKJV)
Jesus, I want more of your kingdom life within me.

Remember Lot's wife. Luke 17:32 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, guide me so that I don't look back to the past, but forward to what you have for me.

For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. 2 Corinthians 7:10 (NKJV)
Father, bring us to godly sorrow producing repentance to salvation.

Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them. Psalm 65:3 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for providing the atonement for my transgressions.

The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing. Psalm 65:13 (NKJV)

Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" Luke 17:12-13 (NKJV)
Lord, so many stand afar off from you and cry for mercy -- have mercy on them.

So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. Luke 17:14 (NKJV)
Jesus, you came to fulfill the law and not to abolish it. Fulfill your purposes in our lives and cleanse us.

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. Luke 17:15-16 (NKJV)
Help me, Holy Spirit, to return and give thanks for what God has done in my life.

So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?" Luke 17:17-18 (NKJV)
Father, help us return thanks for all your mercies.

And He said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well." Luke 17:19 (NKJV)
Jesus, I pray that I will be made well and whole as this leper was.

For He says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. 2 Corinthians 6:2-10 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me embrace your cross through every tribulation so that I may possess all that you have for me.

Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 (NKJV)
Father, I come out to you.

You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations which you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place. Deuteronomy 12:2-3 (NKJV)
LORD, help me destroy every idolatry in my life.

You shall not worship the LORD your God with such things. Deuteronomy 12:4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me get rid of everything that gets in the way of worshiping God.

You shall not at all do as we are doing here today--every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes-- Deuteronomy 12:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, set me free of the folly of doing what is right in my own sight.

And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you and your sons and your daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, since he has no portion nor inheritance with you. Deuteronomy 12:12 (NKJV)
Father, help me and all my children and theirs rejoice before you.

Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." Luke 17:1-2 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, bring to repentance all those who molest or offend your children.

"Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him." Luke 17:3-4 (NKJV)
Father, you have shown us that there is no limit in forgiving others. Help us make this our daily task.

"So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.' " Luke 17:10 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me recognize my poverty of spirit.

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NKJV)
Jesus, daily compel me to a life of living for others.

And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. Deuteronomy 11:13-14 (NKJV)
LORD, I ask for both the early rain and the latter rain of your Holy Spirit so that I may have a bountiful crop for you.

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by. Psalm 57:1 (NKJV)
O God, I take shelter in the shadow of your wings.

Holy Trinity, One God, come and make your home in my heart and help me keep your word.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26 (NKJV)

For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me keep my message plain and simple.

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 1 Corinthians 2:4 (NKJV)
Father, let my witness be what you have done.

These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1 Corinthians 2:13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, fill my mind and my heart with your wisdom.

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. Isaiah 11:9 (NKJV)
LORD, bring us to this time and place of peace.

Bless the LORD, O my soul! Psalm 104:1a (NKJV)
      LORD, I bless you!

The high hills are for the wild goats; Psalm 104:18a (NKJV)
Father, please help me have your perspective: you made the high hills for the goats to play on, not the goats for the high hills.

A word received: I have given you eyes to see; keep looking for my handiwork.

2017 06 01

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?" So he answered and said, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.' " And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live." Luke 10:25-28 (NKJV)
Lord, help me know what is truly important and live it out by loving you and my neighbor.

But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" Luke 10:29 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are the one who justifies me; I cannot do it on my own.

Then Jesus answered and said: "A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.' So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?" And he said, "He who showed mercy on him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise." Luke 10:30-37 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me be a good neighbor even if it means I am an outcast as this Samaritan was.

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25 (NKJV)
Jesus, I look to you for salvation.

The word of the LORD came to me again, saying, Ezekiel 18:1 (NKJV)
LORD, let your word come to us.

"Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine; the soul who sins shall die. But if a man is just and does what is lawful and right; if he has not eaten on the mountains, nor lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, nor defiled his neighbor's wife, nor approached a woman during her impurity; if he has not oppressed anyone, but has restored to the debtor his pledge; has robbed no one by violence, but has given his bread to the hungry And covered the naked with clothing; if he has not exacted usury nor taken any increase, but has withdrawn his hand from iniquity and executed true judgment between man and man; if he has walked in My statutes and kept My judgments faithfully -- he is just; he shall surely live!" says the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 18:4-9 (NKJV)
Father, help us live by your standards.

Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?" says the Lord GOD, "and not that he should turn from his ways and live? Ezekiel 18:23 (NKJV)
LORD, you take no pleasure in the death of sinners. Have mercy on us and help us walk in your ways.

"But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die. "Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not fair.' Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair? Ezekiel 18:24-25 (NKJV)
LORD, help us stop judging you. You are fair and true.

For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live! Ezekiel 18:32 (NKJV)
LORD, help me turn and live.

He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, Psalm 113:7 (NKJV)
Jesus, lift up the poor among us. Guide us in doing our part in this.

A word received: Look around you in my church and see the corruption caused by worldly wisdom.
