This was another art school project - we were to copy a famous heightened drawing. I chose Albrecht Durer's "Praying Hands".

     LORD, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May they prosper that love you. Peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces. For the sake of my brothers and friends, I say "Peace be within you." Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good.

     I used this prayer as a way of praying for my brother when he was a fugitive, and I didn't know his condition.

1 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. 2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. 3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. Psalm 5:1-3 (KJV)
     Jesus, thank you for hearing my prayer to you.

     God, I bless you for hearing my prayer.

     Holy Spirit, teach us how to pray.
