Genesis 18:17-19 New King James Version
17 And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing, 18 since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”
Father, thank you for the blessing that comes through Abraham to us.
Genesis 18:20-21 New King James Version
20 And the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, 21 I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”
Jesus, our sins cry out to the heavens.
Genesis 18:24-25 New King James Version
24 Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? 25 Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
Jesus, I trust that your judgment will be righteous and fair.
Genesis 7:15-16 New King James Version
15 And they went into the ark to Noah, two by two, of all flesh in which is the breath of life. 16 So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.
Thank you for shutting the door beind us. You shut the righteous in and the unrighteous out.
Genesis 2:15 New King James Version
15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
LORD, the day will come when we walk with you in the gardens of heaven, and we shall not be ashamed.
Psalm 46:1-3 New King James Version
1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling.
Jesus, you are refuge in these troubled times.
Psalm 46:4 New King James Version
4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
Jesus, baptize us afresh in the river of your Spirit.
A Word Received: Look to me to shine my light and show you the way.
