Luke 4:1 New King James Version
1 Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
     Jesus, help us recognize that the wilderness times can be a work of your Spirit.

Luke 4:2-4 New King James Version
2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry. 3 And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” 4 But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’ ”
     Jesus, help us rely on what is written just as you did.

Luke 4:18-19 New King James Version
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
     Holy Spirit, come and rest upon us.
     Anoint us for your service.
     Help us preach the gospel to the poor.
     Heal the broken hearted, Jesus.
     Help us proclaim liberty to the captives and those in prison.
     Lord, let blind eyes see again.
     Jesus, set the oppressed free.
     Father, now is the acceptable time.
