Psalm 126 New King James Version

1 When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion,
We were like those who dream.
     LORD, bring us out of captivity to sin so that we may dream again as a nation.

2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
And our tongue with singing.
Then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
     Jesus, fill out mouths and hearts with the joy of your Holy Spirit.

3 The Lord has done great things for us,
And we are glad.
     Father, please help us remember the great things you have done for us.

4 Bring back our captivity, O Lord,
As the streams in the South.
     Holy Spirit, let rivers of living water flow through this nation.

5 Those who sow in tears
Shall reap in joy.
     Lord, we are sowing in tears for this nation.

6 He who continually goes forth weeping,
Bearing seed for sowing,
Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
Bringing his sheaves with him.
     Jesus, please help us go forth weeping, bearing the seed of the gospel and come back singing with a harvest of souls make new by you.
