Psalm 77:1-6 New King James Version
1 I cried out to God with my voice—
To God with my voice;
And He gave ear to me.
God, thank you for hearing me when I cry out to you.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord;
My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing;
My soul refused to be comforted.
Lord, these have been days of trouble, but you were with me when I stretched out my hand to you.
3 I remembered God, and was troubled;
I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed.
Jesus, please help me remember you even when my spirit is overwhelmed.
4 You hold my eyelids open;
I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
Lord, please keep me awake and alert.
5 I have considered the days of old,
The years of ancient times.
Father, I remember the former days and remember what you have done for me. Thank you.
6 I call to remembrance my song in the night;
I meditate within my heart,
And my spirit makes diligent search.
Holy Spirit, you give me songs in the night; thank you.
A Word Received: Remember, son of man, that you are mortal and your body is but flesh and blood.
