1 Thessalonians 5:15-25 New King James Version
15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
     Holy Spirit, please help us pursue what is good.

16 Rejoice always,
     Jesus, let your joy well up in our hearts.

17 pray without ceasing,
     Father, please help us recognize the opportunities for prayer that you give us.

18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
     Christ Jesus, we thank you for all that we are going through.

19 Do not quench the Spirit.
     Holy Spirit, have your way with us.

20 Do not despise prophecies.
     Help us keep listening for your word.

21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.
     Jesus, please help us test and discern what is good.

22 Abstain from every form of evil.
     Jesus, please help me abstain from every evil.

23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
     Holy Spirit, sanctify us.

24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
