Luke 4:14-18 New King James Version

14 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.
     Jesus, please return to us in the power of your Holy Spirit.

15 And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
     Lord, let your teaching come into our congregations.

16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
     Holy Spirit, open the Scriptures for us.

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
     LORD, let your Spirit rest on those who preach.

Because He has anointed Me
     Jesus, come to us in your anointing.

To preach the gospel to the poor;
     Holy Father, let the gospel be preached to the poor, the lost and the least.

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
     Jesus, heal the brokenhearted, especially those who have been abandoned by their families.

To proclaim liberty to the captives
     Jesus, proclaim liberty to those in prison.

And recovery of sight to the blind,
     Holy Spirit, give sight to the physically and spiritually blind.

To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
     Jesus, set at liberty those who are oppressed or are fleeing oppressive governments.

Luke 4:19 New King James Version
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
     Father, make this year acceptable to you.

A Word Received: I want you to wait for my Spirit to come upon you so that you can do the deeds I have prepared for you. My disciples waited on me and Pentecost came to them; I want you to wait on me as well.
