Acts 1:4
New King James Version The Holy Spirit Promised

Jean and I thought of the word “wait” in the context of a really good waiter at a good restaurant. The good waiter is unobtrusive but immediately ready to serve as needed. A similar context for “wait” is a lord-in-waiting or a lady-in-waiting. Their job is to serve the monarch without calling attention to themselves. Waiting implies both quantity of time and the quality of the wait.

A Word Received: Received my Holy Spirit so that you may serve me.
