Psalm 23 New King James Version

1 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
     Jesus, thank you for providing for me and my family and for shepherding us.

2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
     Jesus, you know when I am weary, and you make me lie down and rest; thank you.

3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
     Thank you for restoring my soul and leading in your ways of righteousness.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
     Jesus, I have walked through the valley of the shadow of death, and you were walking beside me. Thank you.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
     Week by week and day by day I come to your table, and I am fed; thank you.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
     Father, your goodness and mercy have followed me through every trial and temptation. Thank you.
