The Apostle’s Creed

I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty,
     Dad, I believe in you and your love for me.
Maker of heaven and earth:
     LORD, creation testifies to your glory.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
     Jesus, you are my Lord and Savior.
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
     Holy Spirit, you have done what no man could do.
Born of the Virgin Mary:
     I thank you for Mary’s wiliness to say, “Yes,” to you.
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
     Jesus, you suffered for me; thank you.
Was crucified, dead, and buried:
     Jesus, remember me now that you have come into your kingdom.
He descended into hell;
     Jesus, your mercy extends even to those who have died; thank you.
The third day he rose again from the dead:
     Jesus, I live in the hope of your resurrection from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
     Jesus, thank you for going before us and making a way for us to enter into glory.
And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty:
     Jesus, you are your rightful place beside the Father.
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
     Lord, you shall judge the living and the dead when you return in glory.
I believe in the Holy Ghost:
     Holy Spirit, you have transformed my life and given me hope of eternal life with Jesus and the power to live this life in you.
The holy Catholic Church;
     Jesus, rebuild and restore your church to purity of faith so that it proclaims the good news of your resurrection and victory over sin and death.
The Communion of Saints:
     Father, thank you for the fellowship I enjoy with the saints in heaven and on earth.
The Forgiveness of sins:
     Jesus, I have confessed my sins to you, and you have made me clean again; thank you.
The Resurrection of the body:
     Holy Trinity, One God, I live and hope to die in the hope of the resurrection and enter paradise with the thief on the cross.
And the Life everlasting. Amen.
     Jesus, thank you for the new life I have entered which will be beyond death to eternity.

A Word Received: Share your hope with others.
