Based on “Praying Hands” by Albrect Dürer.

Matthew 21:22 New King James Version
22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
     Holy Spirit, let our prayers be seasoned with belief.

Luke 1:13 New King James Version
13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
     Jesus, Zacharias had prayed for a long time with no apparent results, yet you did answer him. Please help us persist in prayer as he did.

Acts 1:14 New King James Version
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
     Holy Spirit, help our parish pray in one accord as the disciples did.

Hebrews 5:6-7 New King James Version
6 As He also says in another place:
     “You are a priest forever
     According to the order of Melchizedek”;
7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,
     Father, help us have such a godly fear as we offer up prayers.

James 5:15-16 New King James Version
15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
     Jesus, please help us pray with righteousness.

1 Peter 3:11-12 New King James Version
11 Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
     Father, please set us free from evil so that we may seek peace and you hear our prayers.

1 Peter 4:7 New King James Version
7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
     Jesus, please help me be watchful and prayerful.

Revelation 8:3 New King James Version
3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
     LORD, let our prayers ascend to you like incense.

A Word Received: I value your prayers.
